Nonprofit African dance studio offers $5 classes for MLK Day

A nonprofit Brooklyn dance studio honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a day of African-rooted dace.
Organizers say that trying out new dance styles and sharing them with the community is one of the best ways to mark the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Prices for the MLK celebration classes were reduced to just $5 to make them more affordable for everyone to join in.

“I think the $5 price point has been a key feature in bringing people in,” says Rakia Seaborn, Cumbe’s senior manager of engagement. “…Be yourself, be free for a day.”
