Bars and restaurants are now allowed to stay open a little bit later.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo extended the curfew for eating at restaurants from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. starting Monday. After 11 p.m., restaurants previously had to adapt to only allowing takeout and pickup.
Catered events are also now able to keep going until 1 a.m.
Those eating inside bars or restaurants are still required to order food if they are drinking alcohol, and to wear a mask when entering the eatery.
The Hospitality Alliance has been pushing for this change to help owners with their financial challenge.
