Just two weeks after News 12 The Bronx aired a story on the living conditions at the Butler Houses, the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has made some strides to fix the problems.
The garbage pile has been removed from the building entrance and an exterminator has sprayed the area with rat poison. Residents had complained to News 12 The Bronx that rats had invaded their apartment building.
Calls to NYCHA to find out if they will be doing anything else to get rid of the rats have not been returned.
