Relatives of a woman living at the Cooper Park Houses in Williamsburg fear they may have uncovered a mold and asbestos problem in her apartment.

Love Divine Pate most commonly known as Miss Love was the very first resident to live in her unit. Miss Love says she has found what appears to be mold eating away at parts of her closets and bathroom.

Miss Love's relatives say she is now in a senior care facility after developing a cough and other health issues consistent with symptoms of asbestos exposure.

Maya Wilson, is the current resident and granddaughter of Miss Love. She says she is dealing with similar health issues.

Miss Love is being tested to figure out whether or not her respiratory problems were caused by potential asbestos exposure. Wilson and other family members tell News 12 they also plan to get tested.

NYCHA visited the apartment to inspect for any issues and says it's looking into the matter.
