An NYPD officer was hospitalized after someone threw a beer bottle at his vehicle while he was on patrol in University Heights.
According to police, the officer was driving near Grand Street on West 183rd Street at around 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning when the glass bottle came flying through the driver's side window of the patrol car.
The officer was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital with cuts to his face, but is expected to be OK.
