An NYPD captain in Brooklyn has been placed on modified assignment after he allegedly clocked out even though two fellow precinct offers had been wounded during a shootout.
Published reports say Capt. Scott Forster was three miles away from the scene of the shooting in Bed-Stuy that injured officers William Reddin and Paul Yurkiw Saturday morning following a chase with a New Jersey man, Jamal Funes.
Forster allegedly left work rather than responding to the call about the shooting.
The NYPD is investigating the incident.
