NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton and other officers met with the assistant director of the FBI on Friday to discuss bank robbers.
They discussed the joint efforts of the two law enforcement agencies known as Joint Bank Robbery Task Force, which was first formed in 1979 and was revived in 2014.
Diego Rodriguez of the FBI says that the city is safer because of it and Bratton agrees.
Rodriguez says it was the first joint task force of federal and local law enforcement in U.S. history.
