NYPD officer Peter Liang will be back in court today.
The officer is accused of shooting 28-year-old Akai Gurley in Nov. 2014 at the Pink Houses.
Investigators say it was an accident.
However, the district attorney says Liang hesitated to call his supervisor and instead argued with his partner before calling an ambulance.
The officer has been suspended from the department as the investigation continues.
He faces several charges including manslaughter.
