Two police officers from Brooklyn were honored Monday for saving a baby's life.

On June 14, officers Terrance Durity and Joseph Zerella responded to a call in East New York regarding an unconscious baby who was not even a month old.

Durity and Zerella were two among five receiving awards at the Cop of the Month program at Patrol Borough Brooklyn North.

Both officers say they were nervous but were also trained for moments like this. They started performing CPR right away and saved Josiah Fuller's life.

"At the time I couldn't think of anything," Zerella said. "Once I handed the baby over to EMS, I looked over at Terrance and I was like 'I think we just saved that kid' and it was just a lot of emotions."

Sergeants Joseph Armenio, Gregg Minardi and police officer Stephen Sheppard were also honored at the ceremony for catching a shooting suspect while on patrol last month.
