A Brownsville family says they are outraged after a NYPD officer shared of photo of them handcuffed during a police raid on Snapchat.

The NYPD has not publically released any details about the officer in question, but say that he been suspended for 30 days without pay.

As News 12 previously reported, the NYPD referred the case to the Internal Affairs Bureau. Members of that team then went to Kimberly Santiago's home, where she said she was easily able to pick out the officer who left her and her family humiliated.

While executing an unsuccessful search warrant, an officer mockingly snapped photos of Santiago's family to his followers with the caption, "Merry Christmas, its [sic] NYPD."

The family says the suspension is not enough punishment. They add that based on what they went through, they would prefer if the officer lost his job.

The NYPD says the investigation is ongoing.
