A 33-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy were found dead inside an East New York apartment building, according to the NYPD.
Officials say officers responded to 545 Dumont Ave. just after 2 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a foul odor. Officers found the woman and child unconscious and unresponsive. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
