One teenager is dead and another wounded after a shooting outside a Sweet 16 party in East Flatbush early Sunday.

Police say shots rang out at 1:30 a.m. outside an apartment building on East 52nd Street. Both victims were 17 years old, with the wounded teen recovering at Kings County Hospital.

Residents and partygoers expressed shock at the incident. Police say they are unsure of the motive with the investigation ongoing. Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
