This flu season, two organizations are teaming up with NYCHA to provide free flu shots to those who need them the most -- Brooklyn residents living in one of the areas hit hardest by the coronavirus.

This flu season, two organizations are teaming up with NYCHA to provide free flu shots to those who need them the most -- Brooklyn residents living in one of the areas hit hardest by the coronavirus.
Digital pharmacy Medly and the nonprofit health insurer EmblemHealth have teamed up with NYCHA to provide free flu shots for anyone interested at the Van Dyke Community Center in Brownsville.
Hundreds of people are expected to get their flu shots in an effort to prevent a one-two punch.
Seniors News 12 spoke with say the event made it quick and easy for them to get flu shots and they're more confident they'll be able to stay healthy this flu season.
Anyone 3 years and older is eligible regardless of insurance coverage.
These organizations will be back on Nov. 6 to continue to provide the vaccine for anyone interested.
