Many community members in Sunset Park are ecstatic about a new playground which they say is long overdue.
The Parks Department says it's slated to break ground on the project on April 4. It will include new play areas, a safety surface and spray shower.
Parents tell News 12 the current playground is often overcrowded and not conventional.
They say it is also unsafe due to broken and rotting pieces of wood.
