A wall partially collapsed at a building in Belmont on Sunday, prompting an evacuation.

A wall partially collapsed at a building in Belmont on Sunday, prompting an evacuation.
It happened at the second floor of the building located at 24-61 Hughes Ave. The Department of Buildings says a large section of bricks from the back of the building collapsed into the backyard below.
The DOB says no one was hurt and the rest of the building was not in danger. No other nearby buildings were affected.
News 12 is told that the building owner was issued a violation. People living in the building have been ordered to evacuate.
