A beloved and historic church in Greenpoint is in need of repairs.
The Union Baptist Church was built in 1863. The church was closed last November, but some want to see its doors open again.
Assistant Pastor Michael Newburger and Pastor Peter Montoro say they are on a mission to fix the church.
They say the building needs a new roof and that its interior has extensive water damage.
The pastors say $200,000 has already been raised for repairs.
