A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by an MTA bus near Kings Highway and East 18th Street Thursday afternoon.
Police say it happened at around 3 p.m. The MTA says the man, who is in his 30s, was hit and then dragged by the B82 bus as he was crossing the street.
Passengers told News 12 Brooklyn that the bottom half of the victim's body was pinned underneath the bus.
Witnesses say he was alert but visibly in a lot of pain as he was taken away by an ambulance.
Police sources say the victim is in serious but stable condition, and he may lose a leg.
While it is not clear if the bus driver will be charged, witnesses say he's not to blame for the accident.
Transit officials are investigating the incident.
