Two men are dead after separate shootings in Newark between Saturday night and Sunday morning, according to authorities.

Police say that Elijah Roberts, 30, was found dead on Avon Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday night. They say another man who was found with Roberts survived the shooting.

Officials were called to Pennsylvania Avenue and South Street around 2:45 a.m. Sunday morning where they say they found two more gunshot victims. Police say one of those victims has died, but the identities of the individuals involved have not yet been released.

It is unclear whether the shootings are related.
