Brooklyn saw a wave of violence Monday, from a stabbing in Cypress Hills to a shooting in Canarsie.
Police closed the Cleveland Street J train station in Cypress Hills to investigate an altercation that escalated into a stabbing on the platform. At around 3 p.m., police say a confrontation between two men turned violent.
One was stabbed, the other was punched in the face and both were taken to Brookdale Hospital.
In Canarsie, two men were shot on Rockaway Parkway at around 5 p.m. near the L train station at Glenwood Road.
Police say those victims, aged 21 and 44, are both expected to survive.
Both investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
