The NYPD says two teens were struck by a train, killing one and hospitalizing the other.
They say the incident happened at the Bushwick Avenue-Aberdeen Street station. They also acknowledged it is too soon to determine whether the incident was due to subway surfing.
A passenger aboard the train told News 12 the emergency brake came on and train officials said something happened on the train.
The other passengers were removed from the train once police arrived on the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
The MTA says L train service is running with extensive delays and being rerouted in both directions, with service ending at Atlantic Avenue and Myrtle Avenue due to the investigation.
