Police: 3 hospitalized, 1 critically, after early morning shooting in Brownsville

Police say three people were hospitalized after gunfire erupted in Brownsville early Thursday morning.

Police say three people were hospitalized after gunfire erupted in Brownsville early Thursday morning.

Officials say it happened near 418 Blake Ave. around 1:40 a.m.

According to police, three people were found with gunshot wounds. A 22-year-old man, who was shot in the eye, was rushed to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

A 32-year-old, who was shot in the arm, was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The third victim is a 38-year-old woman. Police say she walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound, and is in stable condition.

Police say at this point it’s unclear who the intended target was.

News 12 is told several people ran from the area that they believe are connected to the shooting, jumping into cars and driving off.
