The NYPD say a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle this morning in Brooklyn.
A bicyclist is currently in the hospital in critical condition. Police say a gray Honda was involved and the driver remained on scene.
According to police, the bicyclist ran what they say was a steady red light at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Buffalo Avenue at around 3 a.m. That is when the driver of the gray car hit the cyclist and then went up on to the side walk and into a stop sign.
Eastern Parkway on both sides has been reopened. Buffalo avenue is shut down between East New York Avenue and Lincoln Place.
The driver remained on scene and no arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
