Police say a man was injured in a shooting and multiple others were hurt in a car crash in East Flatbush Monday afternoon.

Authorities say the shooting occurred at Utica Avenue and Union Street just before 6 p.m., when a gunman walked up to a vehicle and opened fire, striking the 31-year-old victim in the head.

The victim was then being driven to the hospital before the vehicle he was in collided with another car, according to police. The condition of the people hurt in the crash is unknown.

Police say the suspect was last seen wearing a blue shirt, black hat and a white bandana.

The shooting victim is in critical condition, according to authorities.
