Police issued a warning about a batch of synthetic marijuana as they continue to make arrests and search for the source following dozens of recent overdoses.

Nearly 60 people in Brooklyn over the past few days have overdosed on a toxic batch of synthetic marijuana, often marketed as K2.

Police are calling the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Broadway in Bushwick the "epicenter" of the overdoses. Officers were stationed Tuesday night at the Big Boy Deli, located at that intersection, and across the street toward Jefferson Avenue.

Police say three of the locations where overdoses occurred are homeless shelters. They say they will remain on the streets until the area is clean.

Another apparent K2 overdose wave hit the area in 2016.

Jasmine Alicea, 42, is one of 12 people arrested in connection with the overdoses. She's one of eight people accused of selling the substance.

The city Health Department has released an advisory warning New Yorkers of the symptoms and effects of the drug.

Police ask anyone with information on the K2 distributor to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
