An anonymous tip led police to the arrest of the alleged driver in a hit-and-run accident in Bed-Stuy.
According to police, 18-year-old Samuel Branch slammed into two young brothers and then left them fighting for their lives. Branch is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license.
The accident happened Friday night on Marcy Avenue and Quincy Street just around the corner from where the boys lived. Police say the black sedan was speeding when the driver jumped the curb, struck the boys and then went into a tree.
Relatives have identified the victims as 4-year-old Dillan and 16-year-old Dwayne Jackson. Dillan is being treated for a broken leg and pelvis while Dwayne is being treated for a dislocated shoulder.
