The DoorDasher who allegedly left a lewd note inside a police officer’s Chipotle delivery is now in custody, according to police.
Police tell News 12 this isn’t the man’s first confrontation with police. That suspect was identified as Lane Layne.
Police say the 30-year-old has a history of violence against police officers. They say he even attempted to shoot a member of the NYPD back in 2011 and was charged with attempted murder.
However, on Thursday Lane is being charged in connection with putting a note inside of an officer’s Chipotle order with his bare hands earlier this week.
Police say those charges include assault and attempted assault of an officer. DoorDash tells News 12 they deactivated the dasher’s account so he can’t deliver to anyone else.
