Police: Man attacks, robs 12-year-old

Police are searching for a man who they say attacked and robbed a 12-year-old boy last Sunday. Police say a man snuck up behind the boy on Sutter Avenue, near Mother Gaston Boulevard around 12:30 p.m.

Police: Man attacks, robs 12-year-old
Police are searching for a man who they say attacked and robbed a 12-year-old boy last Sunday.
Police say a man snuck up behind the boy on Sutter Avenue, near Mother Gaston Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 21. They say the suspect put the boy in a chokehold and dragged him into an apartment building.
Once inside the apartment, the suspect allegedly took the victim's iPhone 4 out of his pocket before running off.
Police say the boy's leg was injured in the robbery but he's expected to be OK.
Police say the boy told them he didn't know the man who attacked him. They describe the suspect as 18 years old and approximately 6 feet tall.
