Police in Orange County say a person was badly injured after getting struck by a car in Newburgh Friday night.

Police in Orange County say a person was badly injured after getting struck by a car in Newburgh Friday night.
Officers say the accident happened on Route 300 around 8:30 p.m. in front of Walmart.
Police were seen examining a small white Jeep, which was damaged in the front. They were assisted by troopers from the state police, along with firefighters, who helped light up the roadway.
Route 300 was closed to traffic through the overnight hours.
