A deadly shooting is under investigation in East New York.

Police tell News 12 the incident unfolded inside of Reyna Deli on the corner of New Lotts and Alabama avenues around 6 p.m.

Police say an 18-year-old man was shot twice in the chest. He was later pronounced dead. The suspect is at large.

About four hours later, and a mile and a half away, on Atkins and Sutter avenues, police say a 42-year-old woman was shot in the neck.

Police say she got into an argument with a man who is believed to be in his 20s just moments before the gunfire erupted.

She was taken to the hospital where she is listed in stable condition

NYPD statistics show that there has been nearly double the number of shootings within the confines of the 75th Precinct this year compared to last year.
