Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a father of six in Bed-Stuy.
Just before 5 a.m. Saturday, police found the body of 29-year-old Malik Russell with a gunshot wound to the chest near garbage bags in front of 468 Chauncey St., between Thomas Boyland and Rockaway Avenue
He was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The victim's fiancée, Taleeia Jones, tells News 12 she is five months pregnant with their second child. She says the day he was killed they were planning on learning the baby's gender.
Jones tells News 12 that Russell was a father to six children, and he worked in construction. She says he was on his way home from hanging out with friends when he was killed.
"I just got a funny feeling in my stomach like something wasn't right. He didn't call me, he didn't text me, nothing," says Jones.

She says she is completely heartbroken and left in the dark.

"That was my soulmate, my everything. I can't believe I’m going through this. I'm trying to stay strong, but I can't," says Jones.
