Police: Suspect wanted in string of burglaries in Greenpoint, Williamsburg

They say the perpetrator has burglarized at least six businesses. It’s alleged that the person used a cinderblock to smash doors to gain entry during each incident.

A string of burglaries across Greenpoint and Williamsburg have police looking for the one person who they say is behind it all.
They say the perpetrator has burglarized at least six businesses. It’s alleged that the person used a cinderblock to smash doors to gain entry during each incident.
In a surveillance video from Aug. 20, the suspect can be seen wearing a hat, a bandana on his face and carrying a Nike backpack.
The 94th Precinct says it has seen a 263% jump in burglaries this month compared to last year.
