According to investigators, a 20-year-old man was walking down East 241st Street near Carpenter Avenue on Oct. 9 when he was assaulted.
Police say that is when two men walked up to the 20-year-old from behind just after midnight and attacked him.
They punched him in the face repeatedly and hit him on the head with their gun before removing his jewelry and $20 in cash. When he tried to run away one of the suspects shot him once in the back of his leg.
The suspects are described as being between 25 to 35 years old. One is described as being 6 feet, 4 inches tall, the other man as 5 feet, 9 inches. Each was last seen wearing hooded sweatshirts, dark pants and white sneakers.
The men sped off in an orange two door Bentley with New York license plates.
The victim was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
