Police say five swastikas were discovered on a Borough Park sidewalk today.

Local residents were trying to clean up the area outside the Maimonides Medical Center when the swastikas were discovered. Three were found on the corner of 49th Street and 10th Avenue. Two more were found 50 feet away on the sidewalk and on a fire hydrant.

Police say the Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident.
