For the third straight day, drivers in Morrisania have fallen victim to a tire slasher.

At least four cars were targeted on Trinity Avenue and 163rd Street this morning. Several car tires were first punctured on Caldwell Avenue Saturday and then again on East 170th Street yesterday. All of the incidents have occurred within a few blocks of each other.

For resident Mike Alford, the incidents have been especially troubling since his tires were slashed on Saturday and again today.

Residents say they're outraged and some are considering putting their cars in garages until police can catch whoever is responsible.

Police say they've increased uniformed and plain-clothed patrols in the area.
