The Port Morris area is working to rejuvenate itself and turn its run-down factories into a hip area that can complete with Manhattan's Lower East Side.
The neighborhood is working to bring in trendy restaurants, shops and bars, with new, spacious lofts available for rent as well.
Inside the old clock tower on Bruckner and Lincoln avenues sits the new Clock Cafe and Martini Bar. Vanessa Polanco, who owns Verde Flowers across from the clock tower, says that she has been in business for eight years and is amazed by the transformation of the area.
