Isaac T. Cortes was serving with the army when the vehicle he was driving was hit by an explosive in 2007.
Family and friends of the fallen soldier gathered for today's dedication ceremony. Emily Toro, Cortes?s mother, says she is proud those who enter the post office will be reminded of her son?s sacrifice.
Cortes is the first soldier from the Bronx to have a post office named in his honor. A street in Parkchester was named for Cortes in 2010.
