Plans for a massive new nightclub in Greenpoint are facing backlash from local officials and residents who fear it will hurt the neighborhood.

The proposed venue is located on 25 Franklin St., which was previously the industrial site of Arts District Brooklyn.

Tao Hospitality Group is the one eyeing the new spot. The group operates multiple venues in Manhattan.

Elected officials already wrote a letter asking them to consider withdrawing its plan to open the nightclub.
