New York City residents headed to Prospect Park Sunday as temperatures continue to rise. 

Prospect Park has a splash pad as well as kayaks and pedal boat rentals.

Those who are heading outside are reminded to stay hydrated, use sunscreen and to seek out shade.

Cooling centers across the city are also opened during this heat wave.
