Religious leaders of various faiths came together Sunday after two Sunset Park mosques were vandalized last week by the same person.
The incidents occurred at the Beit El Maqdis Islamic Center on Sixth Avenue and the Faith mosque on Eighth Avenue.
A man was caught on camera at both religious centers, and used a hammer to smash windows, a camera, a door handle and a mailbox.
The religious leaders also met with members of the NYPD to learn about how police forces are stepping up security around places of worship throughout the borough.
The Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating both of the incidents. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
