Report: Burglaries on the rise in 49th Precinct
NYPD statistics show burglaries are up 67 percent in the 49th Precinct since this time last year. The deputy inspector of the precinct attributes the increase to the warm winter and criminals' opportunism.

NYPD statistics show burglaries are up 67 percent in the 49th Precinct since this time last year.
The deputy inspector of the precinct attributes the increase to the warm winter and criminals' opportunism.
Despite the increase in burglaries, the statistics also show that burglary arrests have risen 55 percent.
