The Bronx district attorney has reportedly put together a grand jury to decide whether the police officers who shot and killed a teenager should face criminal charges.

Published reports say that detectives from the 47th Precinct, including officer Richard Haste, have met with prosecutors about the incident that resulted in Ramarley Graham's death.

Haste was the one who allegedly shot and killed Graham in the bathroom of his grandmother's home on East 229th Street, believing that the 18-year-old had a gun. It was later established that the teen was unarmed.

The detectives also met with prosecutors to give information about witnesses they spoke to in the immediate aftermath of Graham's death.

A lawyer for the Graham family told News 12 The Bronx that he's not aware that a grand jury was convened.

The Graham family plans to file a lawsuit against the city later this week.
