Bedford Avenue residents say they want authorities to stop excessive speeding on the thoroughfare.
A recent study by the advocate group Transportation Alternatives found that half of the drivers going by an intersection on the avenue travel at speeds faster than the 30 miles per hour speed limit.
"Dodging into and out of traffic, even with the bike lane, the cars are going fast and if you are not careful you can get hit," says Sam Rockwell, who gets around Brooklyn on his bike.
Rockwell and others say the study should be a wake-up call for authorities.
