Residents and businesses in Ditmas Park say extreme flooding has become an increasing problem in the area.
Residents who spoke with News 12 say that every time it rains, they are faced with problems, including knee-deep water in their basements.
They say it is made worse by the city's failure to help.
Councilman Mathieu Eugene says the situation presents a health hazard because water from the sewer is contaminated.
Residents say things like sand pumps and electric valves haven't been very effective.
They say until the Department of Environmental Protection sends its engineers and finds the root of the problem, not much can be done to stop the flooding.
