Saint Catharine Academy in Williamsbridge celebrates 125th anniversary with special Mass, reception

The Saint Catharine Academy celebrated its 125th anniversary with a special Mass and reception at its Williamsbridge location Saturday.
The all-girls Catholic school began back in 1888 on 152nd Street in Washington Heights, and moved to the Bronx campus in 1953.
The celebration and reception included more than 350 alumni, past and present faculty, current students and friends and family.
This is just the first of many events commemorating Saint Catharine's 125th year of existence. The school plans to hold a turkey trot in November and a gala dinner in April.
