All roads have been reopened after a fuel tanker flipped over on the Bruckner Interchange Saturday morning, resulting in a small fuel spill that caused heavy delays. The accident has now been cleared.
Dozens of fire engines raced to the intersection of the Bruckner Interchange and the Cross Bronx Expressway after a tanker carrying 12,000 gallons of fuel overturned. While the crash only resulted in a small fuel spill, traffic was still backed up and I-95's southbound lanes were closed.
There are no reports of injuries or of anyone being trapped inside the truck. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
