STORM WATCH: Rainfall on its way to Brooklyn; scorching-hot feel-like temperatures return Sunday
News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Allan Nosoff says a stalled cold front will bring a few scattered tropical showers and downpours on Friday and Saturday.

NOW: These storms will come in two rounds. Round 1 will be on/off after 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Friday. Round 2 will be after 5 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday. Exact timing is subject to change. 1-1.5 inches of rainfall possible, with locally higher amounts with any soaking rain. There is a risk of street flooding / localized flooding across the city through Saturday afternoon.
NEXT: The relentless extreme heat and disgusting humidity returns. Heat wave No. 3 likely through next week starting on Sunday through the midweek.

TOMORROW: Isolated tropical downpours for the AM commute, best chance between 5AM and noon. While not a washout, these fast-moving downpours can produce very heavy rain for a 10-to-20-minute stretch. Then a leftover downpour or two possible through mid-afternoon. Some peeks of sun late, very humid. Highs near 86. Lows near 75.
SATURDAY – STORM WATCH: Scattered tropical downpours likely, best chance between 7AM and 3PM. Most of the energy will be focused into a narrow band of flooding rain, which its location is still uncertain. Prepare for scattered flash flooding if the band sets up right over the city. Otherwise, similar story to Friday with isolated downpours. Highs near 85. Any leftover downpours end before sunset. Lows near 76.
SUNDAY – HEAT ALERT BEGINS: Hazy, hot, and humid again. Highs up to 93, feeling like 95-100. Lows near 78.
MONDAY: More of the same, slightly more miserable. Highs up to 95, feeling like 100+. Lows around 80. A late-day storm chance.
TUESDAY: Even hotter. Highs near 96, feeling like 100+. Lows near 81.
MIDWEEK NEXT WEEK: A slow-moving storm could bring a few more days of scattered t-storms beginning Wednesday night through early Friday. Highs falling from the 90s to the mid 80s. Lows in the mid 70s.
