A petition is making its rounds on the web in an ongoing battle against FreshDirect's move to The Bronx.

Protesters now have more than 100 signatures after the city agreed to terms with the online grocer last month for its relocation to the Harlem River Yards. Opponents argue the delivery giant won't actually deliver to their area, that its trucks will pollute the community and that its jobs won't offer fair wages.

Currently, the grocer only delivers to four out of the 27 zip codes in the borough and almost half of its employees make less than $25,000 a year.

In a statement, a spokesperson for FreshDirect said, "We plan on hiring a significant number of Bronx residents and making them part of our family. As a business, our goal is to grow, so of course we are going to look for ways to expand into parts of The Bronx that we do not currently serve."
