A family living in the Soundview Houses complains it has been without a working toilet for more than a month.
The Figueroas say that they rely on a portable toilet they keep in the living room.
The family claims that the toilet in their bathroom does not flush and the pipe is loose. The Figueroas say they have called 311 and the city's housing department several times to no avail.
After News 12 The Bronx arrived at the Soundview House apartment, city housing workers arrived to start making repairs.
The residents claim that the city housing workers installed a brand new toilet today, but it does not work.
