Surveillance footage captured a scary scene in Throgs Neck as a speeding car crashed into a parked vehicle.

Police say a white Mercedes hit a number of cars before coming to a screeching stop, slamming into a black GMC. Footage from nearby businesses shows the car flying down Lafayette Avenue and two people running from the scene after the crash.

Sources say it all began after NYPD officers stopped the driver in Queens right off the Whitestone Bridge. The driver then fled into the Bronx and crashed in Throgs Neck, according to sources close to the investigation.

It's not clear why the driver was initially pulled over.

Police say they are currently looking for at least one suspect that ran from the accident scene.

An employee inside a barber shop near the scene of the crash says the owner of the black GMC involved was actually getting his haircut when the accident occurred.
