State data: COVID-19 rates on the rise in New York City

In all five boroughs, the number of new cases of the coronavirus is quickly rising.

In all five boroughs, the number of new cases of the coronavirus is quickly rising.
On July 15, seven-day average was 1% in the Bronx. On July 17, the numbers went up by 0.16%.
Mayor Bill de Blasio is reporting the average across the city is at 1.62%, which is up 0.1%.
There were 499 new positive cases reported Sunday. Officials say the delta variant is responsible for most of these cases.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the final push in the fight against COVID-19 is to get everyone vaccinated.
According to the CDC, only about 55% of New Yorkers are fully vaccinated.
